


The ancient Bagno is not in use, now a UNESCO site. We visited towns nearby including Montepulciano that Marty thought over-restored. I heard tapping and peeked in a dirty window to see this coppersmith working away.


He holds up a tool used by his grandfather in 1857.
He took great pride in his commission to put the top piece on the Sienna cathedral.

It looked very bright though smaller when we got to Sienna:



Zeffirelli’s Romeo and Juliette was filmed in the above palace, also in Montepulciano.
